Navman Wireless has added a route optimization capability to its OnlineAVL2 fleet tracking software through integration with Dashfly’s web-based mapping service. The new option – available exclusively in the U.S. – saves time, mileage and fuel by enabling dispatchers to calculate the fastest and shortest driving routes for up to 25 stops with one click and then electronically transmitting the resulting routing information to Navman Wireless’ M-Nav in-vehicle terminals for driver notification and turn-by-turn navigation.

Dispatchers managing delivery, service, construction equipment transport and other vehicles can save an average of 55 minutes in planning and communicating a typical 10-stop route to drivers by automating the route optimization process as well as eliminating routing-related phone calls, according to Dashfly calculations. Dashfly’s optimized routing also cuts an average of 10 miles, 20 minutes and $1.50 in fuel for each 10-stop route, enhancing the ability of Navman Wireless’ OnlineAVL2 platform to help fleets operate at peak efficiency.

Navman has done it again! Navman Wireless was honored at the 2011 Chicago Innovation Awards for its Qtanium 300 GPS Construction Fleet Tracking System.

“Fleet tracking systems save millions of gallons of fuel as well as millions of dollars of operating expenses for car, van and truck fleets every year, but construction contractors traditionally have been unable to take advantage of these savings because of the lack of reliable technology for use with equipment like bulldozers and backhoes,” said T.J. Chung, CEO of Navman Wireless.

The Navman Wireless Qtanium 300 is the first universal construction fleet tracking system, making it possible to monitor actual equipment usage and associated costs for all makes and models of construction equipment from a single application. As part of the company’s flagship OnlineAVL2 fleet tracking platform, it also offers the industry’s first combined on- and off-road vehicle tracking capability for efficient cost management across the entire fleet.

Navman Wireless, a global leader in fleet tracking, management & optimization has a new feature that enhances the value of the solution we can offer you. Navman Wireless has integrated with a leading route optimization company allowing us to provide you two key new functionalities:

a) Route Optimization – providing the fastest, shortest route from point A to point B.

b) Batch (multi-stop) routing – gives you the ability to send different addresses to the
M-Nav, which will then allow the driver to deploy each route as he needs it. Each stop
will be automatically calculated to be the fastest, shortest route.

Both are fully integrated with the Navman Wireless solution you have.*
Both will save you time and money. Click here to learn more.

*Requires M-Nav, messaging and navigation package.

I know getting everyone to record their times accurately and regularly can be frustrating. You’re trying to build your business, last thing you want to be doing is running employees down to verify records.

Here’s your answer: Automate! Imagine how convenient it would be if every two weeks you or someone in your staff received an email showing the start and end times for every driver’s workday. Or if you could review the start and end times of every job from the previous day, would this make payroll and billing easier and more accurate?

A Fleet Management system with GPS Vehicle Tracking will provide all of these things and more, you are able to review everything thing from activities, over speed, unauthorized use, to mileage by total and by state. These reports can be viewed as needed or emailed on a schedule established by you. A geofence can be set up around that location so that you can get a tailored report showing exactly when they arrived and how long they stayed at that job site. Don’t worry about proving time on a job again, let our system handle that for you!

Contact Driver Watch Systems today to set up a personal review of your fleet and how we can help you save time and money.
